Rich 124060
QC report

GL recommendation with minor index alignment imperfections.

GL
GL with alignment caveats

Moderate confidence · cosmetic QC + a short functional check

A reasonable green light if the small index imperfections shown here are acceptable to you. The 3 and 6 markers are not perfectly straight, but the evidence does not establish a major dial or bezel fault that warrants replacement. The timing clip is reassuring and the setting demonstration supports basic hand alignment.

Camera geometry corrected

P07 gives the clearest close view. P15 is a different capture with different hand positions, independently fitted to the printed minute track.

Cyan: dial axes and reference circle. Amber: other hour rays. These lines are dial-plane references; they do not certify the raised bezel.

Independent cross-check. Reddit R02 duplicates dealer P07. Counting those as independent confirmations would exaggerate the evidence. Our second fit uses P15, a different capture.

Perspective correction is a conventional projective transformation of a planar dial. It removes much of the camera roll and foreshortening, but cannot reconstruct true 3D geometry or remove crystal refraction, raised-marker parallax and reflective bevels.

Minor / uncertain magnitude

12 o’clock triangle

The triangle has a slight counterclockwise-looking bias or asymmetry in both corrected views. The outer rim and luminous interior do not produce the same apparent axis.

Acceptable for a pragmatic GL; do not describe it as perfectly aligned.

Reflective chamfers and threshold selection make an exact angle unreliable. No certified physical rotation is assigned.

No exact 12-marker angle is published: segmentation changes the estimate too much. The straight guide helps you judge the actual shape without false precision.

Minor repeatable bias

6 o’clock baton

A small counterclockwise lean survives independent correction in P07 and P15. Thresholded lume measurements cluster around 1.3–1.7° counterclockwise in the corrected images.

Small cosmetic imperfection, not a standalone RL in this review.

These are apparent image angles, not factory tolerances or measurements of the physical setting.

Cyan: ideal dial axis. Amber: measured luminous-area axis. Both fade with the slider. The latter is a diagnostic estimate, not a new “correct” reference.

Minor repeatable bias

3 o’clock baton

A slight clockwise lean is visible in both corrected views. Lume measurements are roughly 0.4–1.3° clockwise; most trials are close to 1°.

Worth disclosing alongside 12 and 6. GL remains reasonable if a small visible imperfection will not bother the buyer.

The marker is raised above the printed track; crystal optics and edge highlights remain after planar correction.

Dial printing & remaining indices

Text is legible and the visible lines appear coherent. No large print dropout or conspicuously displaced circular hour marker is apparent. The 9 marker has no comparably robust measured tilt.

No specimen-level printing defect that changes the recommendation.

This is manufacturing QC from the supplied media, not authentication or a font-by-font comparison with a genuine 124060. Isolated bright specks do not prove trapped dial debris.

03

Bezel alignment and pip

This is the solid 15-minute bar at the crown side, not a printed numeral 15.

P07 · Original, unrectified bezel / dial junction. The small apparent height difference is visible; no dial-plane grid is imposed on the bezel.

No convincing RL defect

15-minute bezel bar & pip

The 15-minute bar looks a little high against the dial in the raw views, but no convincing isolated malformed engraving or missing fill is visible. The pip appears seated approximately centrally in its triangle.

Do not RL for this evidence alone. An exactly face-on photograph with the bezel positively indexed at 12 would resolve the remaining registration question.

The bezel and printed dial are at different heights. A dial-plane grid cannot certify bezel registration, and this report does not promise that a single click will fix it.

P07 · Native pip crop. The bright rim is reflective; its shape should not be confused with a displaced lume fill.

P15 · Second native pip view. Approximate seating looks acceptable; exact registration remains a separate question.
P15 · Second native pip view. Approximate seating looks acceptable; exact registration remains a separate question.

Bezel registration check. Ask for the bezel positively indexed at 12 and the camera square to the watch. The supplied rotation demonstration proves the bezel can be moved, but does not prove the disputed registration will be perfect at a particular click.

Hands & setting demonstration

No obvious in-plane kink is visible in the long minute hand or seconds hand. V02 shows the hands being advanced and meeting near 12 at approximately 7–9 seconds.

Useful positive evidence of basic hand setting and alignment at the supplied resolution.

A short clip cannot establish full-cycle hand clearance, long-term reliability, or every mechanical function.

V02 also demonstrates bezel movement and clasp handling. It does not provide a controlled test of every detent, hand clearance through a full cycle, or clasp retention force. All three complete videos appear below.

Reassuring snapshot

Timegrapher

V01 visibly reads +1 s/day, 278° amplitude, 0.0 ms beat error and a 52.0° lift-angle setting. The visible short trace is orderly.

The supplied reading supports GL; it is independently visible in the video rather than merely copied from the post.

Lift angle is a device setting, not proof it is correct for the installed movement. Wind state, long duration and multiple positions are not established. These numbers do not guarantee wrist accuracy.

Why the setting caveat matters: acoustic amplitude calculations depend on the selected lift angle. See Witschi’s operating instructions, §5.2. This is general measurement guidance, not confirmation of the correct angle for this particular movement.

All clips were acquired in full and reviewed through chronological frames plus focused inspection of relevant moments. Inline MP4s remux the original encoded tracks without video re-encoding. The dealer’s “1080p” player URLs contain only 720p-class imagery; the original MOV files have higher video bitrates.

No obvious major fault

SELs, case, bracelet & lume

The visible end-link junctions do not show a conspicuously open gap. Case and bracelet views show no obvious gross damage; the clasp is opened and closed in V02. P01 shows the main luminous elements illuminated.

No replacement-level fault demonstrated in these areas.

Film and glove coverage limit surface and lower-SEL inspection. A single lume photo does not measure brightness matching or duration. Clasp security, water resistance and materials are not certified.

The complete photo set below includes both case flanks, bracelet, clasp interior and exterior, oblique crystal views, the lume shot and the album-identification image. Small marks seen only through film or in one reflection are not labelled manufacturing damage.

GL / RL recommendation

For a buyer who accepts the illustrated small marker biases, this is a reasonable candidate to approve.

GREEN LIGHT / MODERATE CONFIDENCE

GL with minor index imperfections

A reasonable green light if the small index imperfections shown here are acceptable to you. The 3 and 6 markers are not perfectly straight, but the evidence does not establish a major dial or bezel fault that warrants replacement. The timing clip is reassuring and the setting demonstration supports basic hand alignment.

GL / APPROVE

Approve if the illustrated minor marker biases are acceptable and the seller confirms the ordinary pre-shipment functional checks.

WHEN RL BECOMES REASONABLE

Request another example if a clean, square-on recheck shows a materially mis-set marker or persistent bezel registration fault that is unacceptable to you, or if a functional defect is demonstrated. The current evidence alone does not justify a blanket RL.

Potential message to the seller

The QC looks broadly good to me. Before shipping, could you send one straight-on photo with the bezel positively indexed at 12, so I can confirm the 15-minute bar against the dial? I can see small index-angle imperfections and am deciding whether I am comfortable with them. Please also confirm the correct lift-angle setting for this movement and that the hands clear each other throughout a full cycle.

Optional wording for the buyer. Nothing has been sent to the seller or posted to Reddit.

Buyer preference. If the small 3 or 6 lean already bothers you in these clearly labelled crops, ask for the face-on confirmation before shipping. The final decision depends on whether those imperfections are acceptable to you.

09

Method and limitations

Every source file is hashed. The fitting choices, rejected estimates and duplicate map are downloadable.

Grid calibration

Each photo is fitted separately using 44 detected printed minute strokes. Applied indices, hands and bezel features never set the dial grid. A projective fit maps the printed track to a circle, followed by an independent alternating-tick validation.

The 3 and 6 luminous regions are then measured with principal-component axes across four brightness thresholds. Consistent direction in two different captures supports a small apparent bias. The less stable triangle and 9-marker estimates are not promoted into precise defect measurements.

Inspection limits

Programmatic image checks plus AI visual assessment. No separate human watchmaker sign-off. Factory, free-sprung construction, movement identity, metal specification, authenticity, water resistance and power reserve are not verified. Confidence labels are qualitative, not calibrated probabilities.

Raised markers, the bezel and the crystal do not lie on the printed dial plane. A low fit residual does not remove those optical effects or define a physical factory tolerance. There is no generative fill, AI sharpening or invented detail in the diagnostic images.

Independent sourceAccepted ticksFit RMSHeld-out RMS
P07440.57 original px0.60 original px
P15440.51 original px0.54 original px

RMS is root mean square residual in original source pixels. The validation fits accepted even-numbered ticks and checks odd-numbered ticks. These values describe internal track-fit consistency, not accuracy of a physical marker-angle measurement.

Media inventory and duplicate comparison

Reddit supplied 15 images and no embedded videos. The linked dealer album supplied 15 photos and three videos, matching its visible total of 18. Fourteen Reddit images match dealer photographs; the remaining Reddit image is an annotated derivative of P07. P04, the dealer’s reference photograph, is absent from Reddit. The final evidence set therefore contains 15 independent photos, three videos and one annotated derivative.

The duplicate images have matching native dimensions. After orientation normalization, their 240 × 320 comparison RMS differences are 0.79–4.26 on a 0–255 RGB scale, consistent with the same captures delivered with different encoding. Dealer originals are retained as masters to avoid Reddit’s additional rendition processing. Higher file size alone is not treated as proof of added detail.
